New Halloween miniatures

Hi everybody!
I'm back with some new miniatures and they're of course Halloween miniatures! I had some miniatures left from last year, but I wanted to do something new and this is what I made.
They're all available on my Etsy shop and there you will also find more detailed pictures of each one.

I made two cakes and some cupcakes with their paper boxes, just like the ones I had made some time ago for my fruit cakes, because I thought they were so nice and so I wanted to do the same for Halloween.
Then I made a very colorful and funny wooden board with lots and lots of treats, pastries and cookies. It's cool for a Halloween party or breakfast.
And last but not least a wooden cart to carry around on Halloween, with a spooky ghost and a spooky scarecrow made with pumpkins and some more treats and pumpkins ...

So this is it, they're not too many because I have a new oven at home now and I can't use it to bake my miniatures, since it's brand new and perfect!
Well ... I hope you like them and you'll eventually take a look at my Etsy shop to see more and see the Halloween miniatures I had previously made.

Broadway musicals!

Hello everybody! How is your summer going? It's so hot here and I don't feel like doing miniatures and baking them in the oven, however I've just finished this miniature table which is supposed to be a kind of after-party, after-the musical, themed party or something like that and it's inspired by all the beautiful vintage Broadway musicals.

I'm so proud of this table because it's exactly how I wanted it to be. And the posters are so colorful and adorable I just love them!

Here you can see a strawberry and cream cake on a glass stand and next to it the most vintage (?!) glasses I've ever ... MADE! Yes, I made them and they're THE vintage glasses. Anyway, then we have three bottles of Vodka, Jack Daniel's and Champagne and three tiny Playbills of Mame, Fiddler on the Roof and Jesus Christ Superstar.

And now let's talk about these tiny cuty hors d'oeuvre aka appetizers aka canapè which drove me crazy and almost blind ...I thought caviar was the best choice for a party like this. And salmon too, because I love salmon!

What about oysters? Such a classic you can never get tired of them!

And now let's take a look at the posters!
Now I ask you, what's your favorite Broadway musical of all times and which ones have you seen and will never forget?

I can't sell the whole table on my shop because it would be too expensive, considering all the work, and the detailed and complicated stuff that's on it (and the table, which I made myself) but all the appetizers and the cakes will be available on my Etsy shop. However if you'd like to have a table like this, just ask me and I'll make you one!

Sicilian summer: cassata cake

Italian cassata siciliana: a delicious sponge cake layered with a cream of ricotta cheese and chocolate pieces, then covered with green pastel colored icing and white decorations, and finally topped with candied fruit as cherries and slices of sicilian lemons.

And these are the miniatures I made this week and now ... my eyes hurt! Hahahaha!

This is the classic cake, it's sliced and it's glued onto an elegant kinda baroque plastic doily.
As you can see, it's topped with a lot of candied fruit and cherries.

This is a handmade wooden board with everything you need to prepare the cassata cake and then of course, the finished cake.

Now, something I don't usually do: a ring. I thought it was really colorful and cute, and so I put one of the slices of cassata on this ring.

And these are the slices, each one on a flower-shaped plastic doily.

Keeping it simple. Basic fruit cakes.

Hey! I must admit, after my accident with the oven I wasn't really in the mood for miniature making and so I used miniatures I already had. But then I started getting bored and thought "what could I do for this summer?" and an idea came to my mind! I was inspired by my Independence Day cake in a box and thought of doing simple basic fruit cakes for the summer, each one in its box.
I never told you but I really can't stand chocolate in real life, and I never eat those beautiful cakes with chocolate miniaturists always make. So I decided to do cakes I finally could have eaten in real life!

So here are my four cakes (I'm planning to do more):

They couldn't be more simple and basic. No cream, just fresh fruit. They're very colorful, with their paper doily and their boxes.

As you can see here, each one can be put in the box.

Or you can display them like this:

The kiwi cake is probably my very favourite one:

The kiwi slices on the box are amazing!

The lemon cake looks yummy enough to be eaten! It must be light but yet delicious...

I also wanted to add, take a look at the treasury I made tonight at 2 am. I mean, you can really tell it was so late and I was sleepy and dizzy, can't you? =)
I featured a miniature cheesecake my Tiny Delights btw.

A picnic in the park

Since I've sold the miniature picnic I had made some time ago, I thought I'd better do one more, because I really liked the previous one and it had been featured in a lot of treasuries on Etsy. Then I found out I had so many items that could fit that I could do at least two or maybe even three miniature picnics!
So here are my two miniature picnics and there might be a third one, I already have one basket ready so I'll see.

This first one  looks like the old one, because it has a thermos in the basket and then the rectangular basket with cherries... but the big basket is really richer and fuller than the old one because there's a lot of stuff in there: a sandwich, different cheeses, pieces of fried chicken, focaccia bread, an italian pie, a little bread with sliced salami. And then on the green tablecloth there's lot more as you can see, including a homemade tart.

This second one here is a bit different because there are new items in the basket, like a bottle of Fanta and a book of cake recipes and then we have a round pie with vegetables and cheese cream on the tablecloth. I also added a little plate with some fresh fruit, sliced watermelom, a green apple and cherries, two little cakes with apricot jam and then because this picnic needed something salty, I put a little sandwich and a slice of pizza with cheese.

All the miniature baskets are also handmaded by me!

Independence Day cake and mistakes (for free) ...

Hello miniatures lovers! I had planned to do some Independence Day inspired mini cakes and pastries but then I had a bad accident with my oven that scared me to death and so I'd been able to do just one cake (not to mention, I have to change the oven now). So, this is my miniature 4th of July cake and of course it's decorated with stars and stripes... and it comes with a paper box I made with photo quality paper.
And as usually it's already listed on my Etsy shop: 4th of July cake

And so, it's too late now to do more... and this will be the only 4th of July cake ... I'm quite happy with the final result and I find the paper box really pretty, though I had a hard time putting the cake on the paper doily, so that it could be also placed in the box and the box could be closed easily.

Before this decent cake was released, I had played with Fimo a bit, thinking about a possible cake ... and what I came up with was THIS:

This is probably the most horrible cake I've ever made. First of all, I mean, seriously... who would ever eat a blue cake? And what are those white crumbles inside of it? And the stars are too big and wrong!

Ok then ...let's look at the paper box. What's that dark blue circle on the flag image?!? What happened during the printing?!

So, the cake is horrible and the paper box is not good.
But because this duo is just really something and I feel somebody might like it (after all, it's just about the blue color and the wrong stars, and the failed print...), the first customer that spends 40$ or more on my Etsy shop and leaves me this note, or convo me leaving this note: "I want that weird cake" will receive this cake and the box FOR FREE!
(the cake will be glued onto the same silver doily as the right one and it will be polished)

New fast food items, miniature table and AIM Imag.

Hello there!
I've got some new miniatures to show but first of all I want to tell you about the new issue of AIM Imag because it's beautiful as usual and it features this blog of mine! Woohoo! This is the link to the magazine: AIM Imag June/July and my blog is featured on pages 44-45.

Now let's move on with more fast food miniatures, here they are:

These are some paper boxes of maxi, tasty vegetables, onions and pepperoni pizzas.
Do you recognize the little pizza on the box? Is one of the miniature pizzas I made for my wooden board "Making an italian pizza".

And now a fast food meal in a paper box. If you don't like chicken ... well, this is not for you, because we have a chicken burger, chicken popcorn, fried and cripsy chicken. Fries and a fresh coke to make it perfect!

Everything is by MiniAcquoline fast food, the best in the miniature world!

Fried popcorn chicken in a paper box, fries and a chicken burger with the best crispy chicken ever.

To finish, I've got to show you a miniature table which has been requested by a close friend of mine. She told me she wanted a miniature table with cookies, biscuits, italian pastries and mixed desserts and what she absolutely wanted was a two tier strawberry cake, with whipped cream and fresh strawberries on top and sliced ones on the sides.
So this is what I created for her: I'm pretty satisfied with it and she liked it too. You can see I put my famous italian babà, cannoli and sfogliatelle, some chocolate and cream cupcakes, mixed biscuits and the strawberry cake, which I find very cute and elegant too, on that rectangular paper doily, with heart-shaped cookies next to it.

The table cloth looks really big but I haven't glued in onto the table yet.

Fast food, hamburgers, chicken and fries! Part One

Hello! I've decided to open my own miniature fast food! I must say I'm not a big fan of fast food products and I just went there as a child with friends... now, I think fast foods and just funny to reproduce as a miniature because everything in the fast food world is colorful, funny and perfect in its own way.

So, this is the result of my hard work with paper, a lot of glue and polymer clay.

I had to do a board with a complete fast food meal, so this is a wooden board with handmade coke paper cups, a paper box of popcorn chickens, french fries, a chicken hamburger and a meatball sub, ready to be eaten and half-wrapped in paper.

This is a meatball sub as you can see from the meatballs inside of it!

This is a big round fast food table in my own MiniAcquoline Fast Food. Each one has MiniAcquoline placemat and a paper plate with a hamburger or fried chicken and mixed vegetables or fries. In the middle of the table two big paper boxes of popcorn chicken and fried chicken.

This is my own fast food, and as you can see we only give you tasty food!

Fried chicken and chicken popcorns in these popcorn paper boxes.

We have coke paper cups, Fanta orange juice and Sprite bottles.

I still have to finish a board and some other fast food miniatures, so I'll be back soon with part two!

New miniatures: miscellanea

You know I'm happy always to make special miniatures for customers who ask for them... and these are some of the miniatures I made last week for a customers who made a long list of beautiful and inspiring foods and dishes.
First of all, I had to make packages of biscuits and this was hard but funny!
This is a package of Bucaneve biscuits, the ones I'd already made and put on a square tray.

And these three are a package of Oro Saiwa biscuits, a package of rice Gallo and a package of Macine biscuits. These are also available on my Etsy shop.

Now some of the foods and dishes I made...
Here you can see a braid bread, two omelette with orange jam, a typical italian dish of codfish, olives and onions, italian gorgonzola cheese and nuts and peppers ratatouille.
Omelettes are still available so if you want them, ask!

On a round wood chopping board, a big gorgonzola cheese with nuts.
These are two schnitzels with fries and lemon and a round metal plate with frankfurter. One of these two schniztel is now available on my Etsy shop.

Three supercute jars containing pickled olives, onions and gherkins. The one containing black olives is still available.

Here we have fresh and delicious krapfen with custard and sweet sugar on top.

And this is a typical italian dish which is a tripe soup my grandma from Rome used to make. It's tasty and yummy and it's made with tomatoes, beans and tripe.

A rectangular basket with artichokes and next to it, you can see a bit of another basket with pomegranates

As you can see, I love to work for my customers and so if you want something special or a weird miniature food just ask and I'll do it for you!

Bye Bye!
