Miniature Italian pastry

I had to work for a customer that made a huge order and I must say it was funny but tough and I'm going to post the miniatures I've done in the following days... so I haven't had the time to post my miniature italian pastry, but now the time has come!

I'm going to start with the famous italian sfogliatelle, filled with ricotta cheese and with sugar on top. They're quite tough to make and it always takes me a long time, but I made quite a lot, so I decided to put nine on an oval tray and six on two paper doilies.

They look delicious, don't they? They would be perfect in a miniature pastry or bakery shop or on a breakfast table ... with all the other italian pastry!

These six sfogliatelle are glued onto an elegant paper doily which is glue itself on a silver paper doily so that it's not so light and is more resistant.

The sugar is glued on the top, so it won't come off or fly away!
And now a mix of italian cannoli, italian babà and italian sfogliatelle on a square metal tray with a square iridiscent silverish paper doily.
Down here, italian cannoli filled with ricotta cheese and decorated with candied cherries.
On a elegant paper doily glued onto another gold paper doily.

As usual, more pictures with zoomed details on my Etsy shop!

Italian Miniatures Part One!

After all this time without making new miniatures I'm finally here with some new stuff! My italian miniatures are now ready and available on my Etsy shop.

Let's start with three little wooden boards:

This one has everything you need to prepare italian ravioli, filled with a mix of spinach and italian cheese.

This one is for anybody who would like to prepare a tasty dish of italian "spaghetti al pesto". You'll need parmesan cheese, fresh italian basil, pine nuts and homemade italian spaghetti.

And last but not least, how to make a traditional italian pizza margherita with fresh
mozzarella cheese, black olives and fresh tomatoes! Everything is floury, oily and juicy but this is how italian pizzerias are!

I'll post more pictures with zoomed details on each listing on my Etsy shop.

And here we have more pasta and a quick glimpse of sfogliatelle, which I'm gonna show in a later post with more italian pastry:

If you don't want to prepare a miniature pasta yourself, here you have the finished results, ready to eat and taste! Two ceramic plates with homemade italian spaghetti with fresh pesto sauce and an oval ceramic plate with homemade italian ravioli with tomato sauce.

I'll post my italian pastry as soon as I can!

AIM Imag Issue April !!!

Hi everybody!
I haven't done a lot in these days BUT I've been featured in this month's issue of AIM IMag. Just take a look at it because the whole issue is amazing! And all these pages about me and my work are just so awesome that I'm speechless.

So, this is the link to the magazine, my interview is on pages 93-97 and there are lots of pictures of my work too so it's truly astonishing, I've never had anything like this before so I'm quite excited.

I'll be back soon because I have some new italian miniatures ready to be shown and here's a very simple carrot cake I've done for this spring and Easter.
